PARKING GUIDELINES FOR POSTIPUISTON PYSÄKÖINTI OY’S PARKING FACILITY
At the Postipuiston Pysäköinti Oy parking facility located at Kollikatu 5, there has continued to be confusion among parking space users regarding parking at electric vehicle charging stations. Based on feedback, Postipuiston Pysäköinti Oy updated its parking guidelines during the spring of 2023, and these guidelines were distributed in May 2023 to the property management offices of housing cooperatives/shareholder associations, whose responsibility it was to distribute the guidelines and a notice to all parking space users who have been granted the right to rent a space. The updated parking guidelines have been published on the Postipuiston Pysäköinti Oy website www.postipuistonpysakointi.fi.
The parking facility at Kollikatu 5 has a total of 434 parking spaces across six (6) floors, with a total of 434 parking spaces, 50 of which are charging stations for electric vehicles located on the first floor of the parking facility. In addition, the parking facility has 2 LE parking spaces (accessible spaces) and 19 motorcycle spaces.
Postipuiston Pysäköinti Oy has leased the parking spaces to the housing associations in accordance with parking space obligations, and the housing associations, in turn, sublease the parking spaces to their own residents.
The parking spaces in the facility are unassigned, which means that the lessee of a parking space has the right to park in any available space within the facility. The parking facility has a total of 50 electric vehicle charging stations and 2 LE parking spaces. The electric vehicle charging stations are primarily intended for charging electric and hybrid vehicles. Parking of vehicles other than electric and hybrid cars is prohibited at the charging stations, unless there are no other available parking spaces in the parking facility at that time. LE spaces are primarily intended for use by drivers with mobility impairments who have a valid parking permit for people with disabilities.
